Colorado Springs Voters Choosing Mayor In Runoff Election

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — It's the final day for voters in Colorado Springs to drop off ballots in the city's runoff mayoral election.

They're choosing between former state Attorney General John Suthers and former Colorado Springs Mayor Mary Lou Makepeace, the top two finishers in the last month's election.

Suthers served two terms as district attorney in Colorado Springs and led the Colorado Department of Corrections. Makepeace served 12 years as a city councilor before being elected the city's first female mayor in 1997.
