Colorado Man Sentenced For 2012 Bank Robbery In New Mexico

LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) - A Colorado man has been sentenced to more than 12 years in prison for robbing a bank in New Mexico in 2012.

Prosecutors say 44-year-old Robert O'Dell Neihart was given a 148-month prison term Monday along with three years of supervised release to be served afterward.

Neihart was arrested in November 2012 at his home in Ignacio, Colorado.

He was indicted for the armed robbery of the Wells Fargo Bank branch in Farmington on Sept. 21, 2012 and using a firearm during a crime of violence.

Prosecution of the case was delayed by competency proceedings.

Neihart pleaded guilty to both counts of the indictment three months ago.
