Colorado Flu Cases Show No Sign Of Slowing Down

DENVER (CBS4) - The number of influenza cases in Colorado continues to climb.

On Monday Larimer County said it could be the worst flu season in over a decade. Since October Larimer County has seen 83 people hospitalized due to the flu.

New numbers from the state as a whole are expected later this week, but there have been over 800 cases where people with the flu ended up in the hospital.

In the Larimer County cases about 2/3rds have been people over the age of 70, and about a dozen nursing home and assisted living centers have reported outbreaks.

One toddler has died from the flu in Larimer County.
