One Killed In Officer-Involved Shooting; No Officers Hurt

DENVER (CBS4) - Denver police are responding to Colfax Avenue and Quebec Street for a deadly officer-involved shooting.

They say both directions of Colfax are closed.

Investigators say one suspect was killed and another was sent to the hospital with minor injuries. No officers are hurt.

According to police, officers attempted to stop a robbery suspect's vehicle and the suspect then tried to flee by driving through traffic and hit multiple vehicles.

Officials say the suspect then showed a firearm and that's when three officers opened fire.

The suspect was wanted in several states.

One officer's windshield had at least one gunshot through it.

The woman who was with the unidentified suspect is expected to be okay. It's not clear if she will face any charges.

The officers involved in the shooting also have not been identified.
