Thousands Celebrate Cinco De Mayo In Downtown Denver

DENVER (CBS4)- Hundreds of thousands of people attended the Cinco de Mayo celebration in downtown Denver over the weekend. The annual festival filled Civic Center Park on Saturday and Sunday.
People celebrated culture with everything from traditional dancing, authentic food, booths and live music.
Cinco de Mayo celebrates the date of the Mexican army's 1862 victory over France at the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican War. It is also known as Battle of Puebla Day.
