Christian McCaffrey Waits For Heisman Trophy Announcement

HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. (CBS4)- One of Colorado's own could take home the Heisman Trophy. Former Denver Bronco Ed McCaffrey's son, Christian McCaffrey, is one of three finalists.

McCaffrey, a running back for Stanford, is up against Alabama's Derrick Henry and Clemson's Deshaun Watson.

McCaffrey had a record-breaking year with more total yards than any player in college football history.

"I have no idea what this season was going to hold. I just put my head down and try to focus on each and every day by doing my job and being here is just very special and I'm honored to be here," said McCaffrey.

The trophy will be handed out at 6 p.m. Saturday. There is a watch party at McCaffrey's alma mater, Valor Christian High School in Highlands Ranch.
