Charges Filed After Fatal Arvada Crash

GOLDEN, Colo. (AP) — A 29-year-old Louisiana man accused of causing a fatal crash in the Denver suburb of Arvada has been charged with vehicular homicide.

The Jefferson County District Attorney's Office says Codey Daniel Trahan also is facing charges of vehicular assault, driving under the influence, as well as reckless and careless driving, stemming from the May 23 crash that killed 37-year-old Joe Gonzalez and seriously injured one of Gonzalez' passengers.

Trahan is being held on $50,000 bail. Prosecutors did not said where in Louisiana he is from.
