Charges Against School Bus Driver Dropped By Jefferson County DA

LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4) - Charges against a school bus driver who police said fought with a student on his bus in Lakewood have been dropped.

David Blanchard, of Littleton, was arrested on child abuse charges in the Jan. 30 incident outside Bear Creek K-8 School in Lakewood, but authorities at the time also said the 12-year-old student involved might face a harassment charge.

Blanchard had faced two misdemeanor charges but the Jefferson County District Attorney's office earlier this month dropped the charges due to what they said was a lack of evidence.
