CBS Star Hill Harper Tells Denver Kids They Can Be 'Limitless'

DENVER (CBS4) - Actor Hill Harper wants Colorado kids to know they are "limitless."

The actor plays Special Agent Spelman Boyle on CBS's new hit show "Limitless." Harper, also an author, was in Denver Tuesday and spoke to thousands of kids at the Pepsi Center. It was all part of MassMutual's FutureSmart Challenge.

The audience was made up of middle school students from across the metro area. The goal of the program is to empower and challenge young people to take positive steps towards a career and financial security.

"At this age they are bombarded with so many different things," Harper said. "They can get misled and think that their empowerment comes from material things."

Harper spoke to the middle school kids about the importance of not only education, but also saving money and doing it early.

"You can be empowered by thinking smartly about money and how it plays in your life," Harper added.

Kids also got to meet Denver Nuggets legend Mark Randall and Nuggets super mascot Rocky during the event.

Denver was the fifth stop on the multi-city tour of MassMutuals FutureSmart Challenge. The next stop on the tour is Philadelphia on Dec. 1.

As for "Limitless" this season on CBS, Harper said Tuesday to be prepared for a lot of surprises.

"I always wish that I could take that NZT pill in real life, but maybe my character just might," Harper said.
