CBS Connects With Fans At Comic Con 2014
It's that special time of the year again.
No, it's not Christmas yet, but for many it feels like it as San Diego Comic Con starts.
Comic Con, the largest congregation of fanboys and fangirls in the world, has begun, and just like every year, the convention features anything and everything you ever cared about in pop culture and entertainment. The convention has moved beyond just comic book lore into everything from film and novels to video games and television shows.
Even celebrities have gotten in on the action, participating in panel discussions, exclusive interviews, and interacting with fans. (It also gives them a reason to dress up in cosplay)
This year CBS, Showtime, and The CW each have shows attending Comic Con, illustrating just how broad the convention truly is.
CBS' "Under the Dome," "Scorpion," "The Big Bang Theory," and "Person of Interest" will all be there, giving fans of the respective shows a chance to meet the casts, see sneak peeks of upcoming episodes or seasons, go inside the writers' room, and get questions answered.
Showtime's "Penny Dreadful" recently finished its first season, giving the cast members Josh Hartnett, Reeve Carney and Harry Treadway as well as show creator John Logan the opportunity to attend Comic Con for panel discussion moderated by none other than "The Talk's" Aisha Tyler.
The CW will also be present, which makes sense with upcoming shows like "The Flash" and "iZombie" premiering in the fall. In past years "The Vampire Diaries" and "Arrow" have both been seen at the convention, making their appearance there seem almost inevitable.
It's obvious that Comic Con isn't just for the geeks or the kids who wish superheroes were real; Comic Con is for the whole world. Comic Con has something for everyone, whether you're a self-proclaimed nerd or pop culture enthusiast.
