Carlos Gonzalez Sends Medical Supplies To His Native Venezuela
DENVER (CBS4) - Rockies outfielder Carlos Gonzalez and his family helped load up medical supplies to be sent to a hospital in his native Venezuela on Friday morning.
The project -- dubbed Cargo for Cargo -- is put on by his foundation along with the Rockies and Project Cure.
"I came from nothing," Gonzalez said I'm from a small town in Venezuela.. I know what it feels like not to have medicine or something when you need it. So for me now to have the possibilities and just being able to give back is special."
