Breckenridge Ski Resort Postpones Opening Day

BRECKENRIDGE, Colo. (AP) — Breckenridge Ski Resort is postponing opening day because unseasonably warm weather in the mountains is hindering snowmaking operations.

Breckenridge officials hoped they could open the resort as scheduled Friday, but crews evaluated the terrain and decided against it. A new opening day has not been announced.

Warm weather also forced Keystone and Copper Mountain to postpone their openings, which had been set for Halloween. They are expected to open Friday.

Loveland and Arapahoe Basin ski areas are already open for the winter.
