Boulder Could Raise Water Rates To Pay For Damage From Main Breaks

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4) - The City of Boulder could raise its water rates a to pay for damage from water main breaks.

In February one break damaged more than a dozen homes.

The proposal would increase water rates by $1 a month and only apply to single-family residences. The money would go into a fund which would be used to pay out claims on minor damage.

The final vote on the proposal won't be until May.
