BOULDER CANYON, Colo. (CBS4) - A large rock slide forced officials to close Highway 119 through Boulder Canyon Tuesday evening. The Town of Nederland says the closure could last well into Wednesday as crews clean up the boulders.
Highway 119 is closed between mile posts 26-41. The Colorado Department of Transportation says the northern detour is CO 72 to Lefthand Canyon Drive and CO 72 south is the southern detour for the area.
"The slide happened during heavy rain and snow in the area referred to as the Narrows and is not in the project area where CDOT has been doing permanent repair work from the 2013 flood," said CDOT.
No one was hurt, and no vehicles were damaged.
