Berthoud High School Evacuated After Bomb Threat
BERTHOUD, Colo. (CBS4) - Berthoud High School was evacuated after a bomb threat on Friday morning and classes there are canceled for the day as a precaution while an investigation takes place. Officials with the Larimer County Sheriff's Office said all students are safe.
Students were moved to Ivy Stockwell Elementary School and some were allowed to go home if they had their own transportation, according to the Thompson School District and the sheriff's office.
At 9:30 a.m. a long line of parents were waiting outside the elementary school waiting to pick up their children.
"Well, of course you worry and you want them safe and you want the details but you also have to have faith in your staff and teachers to know that they are in the right place," said Ami Storle. "All the schools in the district have wonderful SRO's who have great communication with families and staff."
Officers didn't find anything suspicious in the school.
