Police Recover Guns, Make Arrest In Bass Pro Shops Robbery

DENVER (CBS4) - One person is under arrest and several guns that were stolen from the Bass Pro Shops store in Denver's Stapleton neighborhood have been recovered.

Denver police said they have recovered the four hunting rifles and one shotgun.

They also announced that Michael Contreras, 21, is tentatively facing charges in the case.

Police believe Contreras was one of the two people who can be seen in surveillance images robbing the store in The Shops At Northfield Stapleton on March 10. The suspects smashed a door in during the crime.

Officers arrested Contreras Tuesday night in Green Valley Ranch while investigating a call of shots fired.

Investigators said they are still working to identify the other suspect.
