Bank Robbers Hit Same Branch Twice In One Day
AURORA, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Aurora are looking for two men believed to have struck the same bank at different times of the day. One got away with cash but the other left empty handed.
Police are teaming up with the FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force to investigate the robberies that happened at the TCF Bank located at 15350 East 6th Avenue on Tuesday.
The first suspect walked into the bank around noon on Tuesday and demanded money from the teller. He ran away. No weapon was seen or displayed during the robbery.
He is described as a black male, 6-feet tall, 240 pounds, wearing a black beanie, black jacket and grey gloves.
Six hours later, the second suspect walked into the bank and gave the teller a note demanding money. But because that same teller had been targeted earlier in the day, she didn't have any money to give him.
He is described as a white male in his 20s, about 6-feet tall with a thin build. He had light brown or red facial hair. The suspect was wearing a black baseball cap with a dark colored shirt and a grey hoodie underneath.
No one was hurt in either incident.
