Aurora Police Investigating Shooting During Alleged Robbery

AURORA, Colo. (AP) - Authorities say a 15-year-old boy was killed during a shooting that broke out at an Aurora apartment complex last week.

Arapahoe County Coroner Kelly Lear-Kaul said Tuesday that Dewayne Lamonte Quenvell Brown died from two gunshot wounds.

Police say one of three men moving into an apartment building opened fire after three boys allegedly attempted to rob them at gunpoint. All three boys were hit and one died at a hospital. Police have not identified the other two, saying only that they are 15 and 16 years old.

Aurora Police Department spokeswoman Judy Lutkin says one of those injured was hospitalized and the third received injuries that are not life-threatening and was in custody on unrelated charges.

Police say the movers have been cooperating in the investigation.
