Another MoneyPak Scam Making Its Way Around Douglas County
CASTLE ROCK, Colo. (CBS4) - Investigators in Douglas County are warning of a scam involving Green Dot MoneyPaks.
Green Dot MoneyPaks are prepaid, reloadable debit cards. Investigators say scammers are trying several ways to get people to buy the cards and then forward the card's PIN number to the thief. That gives the scammer immediate access to the money on the card.
The warning asks customers to be wary of any message requesting to pay fees or fines with MoneyPaks.
