Child Found Safe After Amber Alert Issued

THORNTON, Colo. (CBS4) - An Amber Alert that had been issued for a 2-year-old girl who went missing from a residence in Thornton has been canceled after the toddler was found safe.

According to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, the child was found safe Sunday afternoon after she was reported missing in the morning. The CBI said the child was taken from her grandmother's residence in Thornton.

Authorities were looking for Meshelle Branch, 22, and Robert Owens, 29. According to police in Thornton the Branch and Owens are currently in custody.
