Adams County Continues Investigation Into Triple Homicide

ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - Investigators of a triple homicide in Adams County spent a second day Thursday searching for clues near the scene of the murders.

Detectives filled bags with evidence, as a K-9 unit trained to search for drugs worked the scene.

Police are seeking Furmen Lee Leyba, 31, in the deaths. Gabriel Flores has been arrested.

The bodies of three men were found early Wednesday morning in a home near Broadway and Cragmore, just northeast of the Interstate 25 and Boulder turnpike interchange. Deputies arrived after receiving a call about a disturbance.

The victims' names haven't been released.

"It's a shock," Tracy Sitterud said. "It's something that you hear that this happens all the time but you don't expect it on your street, right down the street from your house. And especially in a very quiet neighborhood where people wave at each other as you drive by. It's nerve-racking."

So far, the Adams County Sheriff's Office is not saying what may have been the motive in this case.

After a chase in Jefferson County, deputies arrested Flores, 41. He remains in the Adams County Jail, without bond, and faces first-degree murder charges.

A woman was also in Flores' car, but the sheriff's office didn't call her a suspect.
