4.5 Magnitude Earthquake Widely Felt In Southwestern Colorado
PARADOX, Colo. (CBS4) - An earthquake on Monday morning that was centered near the Colorado-Utah border could be felt across much of southwestern Colorado. It happened 7 miles southeast of the town of Paradox and 35 miles north of Dove Creek, near the Utah state line.
It happened at about 10:22 a.m. and the Associated Press reported residents in southeastern Utah could also feel the quake.
The quake was initially reported as a magnitude 5.3 and then a 4.6.

According to the latest information on the USGS website, it was a magnitude 4.5.
There were no reports of damage.
The University of Utah Seismograph Stations reported that the earthquake hit near Slide Rock Canyon. The center says that a total of eight earthquakes measuring 3.0 or greater have occurred within 16 miles of Monday's earthquake since 1962. The most recent was the largest of those quakes.
