20th Street Bridge Closed For Emergency Repairs

DENVER (CBS4)- The 20th Street Bridge over Interstate 25 was closed Friday afternoon for emergency repairs to a damaged expansion joint. The bridge reopened just before 6 p.m.

Crews with the Colorado Department of Transportation began repairs immediately. The bridge was expected to remain closed until after 8 p.m. Friday but repairs were completed early.

CDOT believes the increased traffic associated with the Colorado Avalanche-Detroit Red Wings Alumni game at Coors Field will be impacted by the closure.
