I-70 Reopens After 20-Vehicle Crash
EVERGREEN, Colo. (CBS4)- Both directions of Interstate 70 were closed for hours near Evergreen after 20 vehicles became involved in accidents. Just before 5 p.m. those lanes reopened.
Evergreen Fire Rescue, the Colorado State Patrol and Jefferson County authorities responded to the crashes that involved semi trucks on I-70 at mile marker 248.

I-70 was closed in both directions for several hours. Two westbound lanes were reopened at 4:25 p.m. Thursday. The eastbound lanes opened a short time later.

Authorities were investigating whether ice and snow contributed to the crashes. The lanes in the area of the crash appeared snowpacked.
Evergreen Fire Rescue said that there were two people injured in the multi-vehicle crash.
