16th Street Mall Patrons Can Now Lace Up For Free Ice Skating

DENVER (CBS4) - Visitors to the 16th Street Mall are now able to enjoy free ice skating at Skyline Park.

The ice rink sits next to the clock tower on Arapahoe Street. Mayor Michael Hancock kicked off the opening on Monday.

It's the fifth consecutive year for the rink that offers free skating to the public with the option to bring skates or rent a pair for just $2.

Southwest Airlines sponsors the rink with the Downtown Denver Partnership.
