12-Year-Old Boy Shot In Side In Weld County

FIRESTONE, Colo. (AP/CBS4) — A 12-year-old boy is in the hospital after being shot in Weld County.

The Weld County Sheriff's Office says the shooting, which took place on the 29000 block of Weld County Road 20, was reported Sunday evening. The boy was shot in the side by a .22 caliber bullet and taken to the Children's Hospital in Aurora.

The office hasn't released any other details about the shooting yet.
