11-Year-Old Boy Dies After Shooting At Sleepover
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (CBS4)- Deputies arrested a man in connection with the shooting death of an 11-year-old boy.
Caden Eric Randolf died Saturday night after he was shot while at a sleepover at a neighbor's home in the Fruitvale area.
The Mesa County Sheriff's Office said that Jeremy Mushrush came to the sheriff's office to make a statement and he was released.
After Mushrush, 41, was released, deputies learned that he was implicated in criminal activity. That led investigators to obtain an arrest warrant for Mushrush on manslaughter, attempting to influence a public servant and prohibited use of a weapon.
Mushrush called authorities on Sunday and agreed to turn himself in. He was arrested without any resistance.
What led up to the shooting has not been disclosed.
