YMCA Holding Healthy Kids Day Next Weekend
(CBS) -- The YMCA of Metro Chicago wants your kids to join in the fun next Friday and Saturday to help celebrate the Y's Healthy Kids Day.
It's a national program to keep kids engaged in mental and physical activities.
"What we're trying to focus on is keeping these kids active," said Rae Ulrich with YMCA Metro Chicago. "We know that if you keep kids physically active it also helps keep their brans active as well as well as giving them other activities, learning opportunities throughout the summer so that they're ready then when they are going back to school."
Healthy Kids Day, which turns 25 years old this month, will also include a week-long Jumping Jack Challenge where families will complete 1.5 million jumping jacks in a single week.
