Wrigley Field Ready For Opening Night
(CBS) -- Wrigley field is ready for prime time as construction crews worked until the very last second to add finishing touches to the friendly confines.
The game will be the debut of Wrigley's latest addition: the gigantic video board in left field.
Absent from left field though: the famed bleachers, which won't be done until sometime in May or June.
The Cubs take on division rival St. Louis Cardinals for the season's inaugural game.
First pitch is at 7:05 p.m. and the game will be broadcast on the radio by WBBM Newsradio 780.
Before the first pitch is thrown Cubs fans will honor the legacy of the late Ernie Banks. The team has prepared a pregame ceremony and a moment of silence will be held in his honor.
His two sons, Joey and Jerry, will throw the ceremonial first pitch and lead the 7th inning stretch.
