Woman Shot In Lawndale
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A 23-year-old woman was shot in the Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side early Wednesday.
Just after midnight, she was on a sidewalk in the 3600 block of West Douglas Boulevard when two males walked up and one of them opened fire, police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.
She suffered gunshot wounds to her right hand and the left side of her chest and abdomen, Alfaro said.
She was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where her condition stabilized, police said.
