Woman Killed In Rogers Park Hit-And-Run
CHICAGO (STMW) -- Police are searching for the driver of an SUV that fatally struck a 63-year-old north suburban woman Sunday and then drove away from the scene in the Rogers Park neighborhood on the North Side.
Cynthia Goldsher was hit by a light-colored Ford Explorer at 6:52 p.m. at Howard Street and Western Avenue, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner's office.
Goldsher, of the 9200 block of Skokie Boulevard in Skokie, was taken to Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, where she died at 12:22 p.m. Tuesday, according to the medical examiner's office.
An autopsy found she died of complications from injuries suffered in the crash, and her death was ruled an accident.
The driver never stopped, police said.
