Woman In Custody For Man's Stabbing Death In West Pullman

(STMW) -- A woman is in custody for the fatal stabbing of a 21-year-old man in the West Pullman neighborhood Friday morning on the Far South Side.

Officers responding to a call of a person stabbed about 8:40 a.m. at a home in the 12100 block of South Bishop found Joshua Dean unresponsive with a chest wound, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner's office.

He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead at 9:55 a.m., authorities said.

Police said the attack was domestic-related. An autopsy Saturday ruled his death a homicide.

A woman was arrested at the scene and charges were pending against her Saturday afternoon, police said.
