CHICAGO (CBS)-- A woman was injured Thursday morning on a CTA train.

Chicago police said CTA workers discovered the woman at 1:30 a.m. in the first block of East Roosevelt Road, which is the Roosevelt Road Red Line stop.

The woman was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition with cuts to her face.

The train continued to the rail yard just past the 95th Street station. It was there that investigators were seen searching the train car for evidence.

Police did not provide any details that led to the woman's injuries, only saying detectives were investigating.
