Woman Attacked In Wicker Park
(CBS) – A woman was sexually assaulted in the Wicker Park neighborhood early Monday.
It happened just before 2 a.m. in the 1700 block of West Pierce Avenue, Chicago police say. A suspect grabbed the 25-year-old woman around the neck and dragged her into an alley. He threw her onto the ground. When she began screaming, the attacker fled, police said.
Residents say they're unnerved, CBS 2's Mike Parker reports.
The victim was taken to St. Mary's Hospital in stable condition.
Police are still looking for her attacker.
