Woman, 22, Murdered In Gary
GARY, Ind. (STMW) -- A 22-year-old woman was found beaten to death in Gary, Ind. Saturday morning.
The woman was found dead about 10 a.m. in the 500 block of Buchanan Street in Gary, Ind., according to a statement from the Lake County Coroner's office. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
She was identified as Monsharray L. Townsend, the statement said. She lived in the same block where she was found.
Police are conducting a homicide investigation.
