Chicago Weather: Snow To Persist Into Morning Rush

CHICAGO (CBS)-- Snow will continue overnight and linger through the morning rush.

In the morning, expect slushy roads, especially for elevated and less-traveled surfaces.

Light to moderate snow showers may be around during the morning rush. This will not only create slick spots, but poor visibility may be an issue for commuters.

A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 p.m. Wednesday for Cook and DuPage counties and places south and east into northwest Indiana.

We still expect total snow accumulations of 1 to 5 inches, with an isolated 6 inches near LaPorte, Indiana, ending midday.

High winds will generate high waves all day, especially into Northwest Indiana. The Lakeshore Flood Warning there has been extended into Thursday.
