White Sox Pitching Coach Back After Vertigo Scare
CHICAGO (AP) -- Pitching coach Don Cooper is back with the Chicago White Sox after missing 11 games because of vertigo.
Cooper rejoined the team Friday as the White Sox opened a six-game homestand against the Minnesota Twins. He says he's still not 100 percent but is "feeling better than I did, that's for sure."
He says the symptoms are "manageable now."
Cooper missed time twice last season because of diverticulitis, and given a choice, he says he would "go for the diverticulitis over the vertigo."
Bullpen coach Bobby Thigpen filled in for Cooper while he was out.
