White Sox-Orioles Game Postponed Due To Unrest In Baltimore
(CBS) Tuesday's game between the White Sox and Orioles has been postponed following a day of unrest in the streets of Baltimore near Camden Yards, the Orioles announced this morning. It was originally scheduled to be a 7:05 p.m. ET/6:05 CT start.
It's the second straight day that the teams have had their contest postponed.
Monday evening's contest between the teams was postponed about a half-hour before the scheduled first pitch because of safety concerns after rioting broke out near the stadium. The latest round of demonstrations follow the recent death of Freddie Gray, 25, an African-American suspect who had been taken into police custody.
Monday's protests were within a couple miles of Camden Yards.
The White Sox and Orioles have a contest scheduled for Wednesday evening.
No make-up date has been announced for the two postponed games. This is the only trip of the season that the White Sox were originally scheduled to make to Baltimore.
