The 25-year-old Viciedo hit .231 with 21 homers and 58 RBIs in 145 games in 2014. Viciedo is a career .254 hitter. He'll likely come off the bench, as the White Sox have Adam Eaton, Melky Cabrera and Avisail Garcia slated to be regulars.

Chicago has five arbitration-eligible players left: catcher Tyler Flowers and pitchers Javy Guerra, Nate Jones, Hector Noesi and Jeff Samardzija.
