White Sox Call Up Maikel Cleto For Bullpen Help
(CBS) A day after their bullpen allowed an unfathomable 15 runs in a 16-3 loss to the Twins, the White Sox have called up right-handed reliever Maikel Cleto from Triple-A Charlotte.
The 25-year-old Cleto took the roster spit of right-hander Taylor Thompson, who was sent down after yesterday's game. Thompson allowed three runs in an inning of work yesterday and had a 10.13 ERA when he was sent down.
In an earlier stint this season with the White Sox, Cleto went 0-0 with a 5.14 ERA in 14 2/3 innings of work.
