White Sox Avoid Arbitration With Viciedo
(CBS) The White Sox and outfielder Dayan Viciedo agreed to a one-year, $2.8 million contract Monday, avoiding arbitration.
Viciedo, still only 24 years old, hit just .265 last season with 14 home runs and 56 RBI in 124 games. It was his second full season with the White Sox. In 2012, he hit .255 with 25 home runs and 78 RBI.
The White Sox have two remaining arbitration-eligible players with second baseman Gordon Beckham and outfielder Alejandro De Aza.
