Chicago police chase ends in crash in West Garfield Park

CHICAGO (CBS) – Two people were arrested after a carjacking led to a police chase and ultimately a crash on Chicago's West Side.

Officers were following a car in traffic that was wanted for a carjacking in the 600 block of South Cicero on Friday a little after 2 p.m.

The car then came to a rest after striking a parked car and then a light pole in the 4000 block of West Washington.

Chopper 2 was over the scene where several squad cars surrounded a black sedan.

Two male suspects were arrested. No injuries were reported.

Area 4 detectives are investigating the incident.
