Weather Pattern: Cloudy With A Chance Of More Clouds?
By John Dodge
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Chicagoans could be easily excused for feeling as if they are constantly walking under a dark cloud.
Since Nov. 1, about 82 percent of the days have been either cloudy or mostly cloudy, according to the National Weather Service.
That number rises to over 90 percent during the past week alone.
Overcast conditions are generally in the forecast for the rest of the week.
In exchange, Chicago has seen milder than normal temperatures so far this month.
For those with short memories, or perhaps simply prefer to block it from their consciousness, Chicago had about four inches of snow on the ground last year, as the area was just beginning one of the coldest and snowiest winters on record.
