Watch: Red Wings' Alfredsson Gets Teeth Knocked Out, Picks Them Up Off Ice
(CBS) There's a reason hockey players are considered by many to be the toughest of athletes, and Red Wings forward Daniel Alfredsson provided the latest example.
Upon taking a big hit into the boards last night in a loss against the Devils, Alfredsson also caught a stick to the mouth. It knocked at least a couple teeth out, which surely had to be painful and disorienting.
Not to be deterred, Alfredsson naturally picked his teeth up off the ice. Then he didn't miss a shift, according to USA Today. Take a look at the scene below.
