Watch: Pujols Apparently Forgot Cespedes Has A Cannon Arm

(CBS) On Tuesday night, Athletics left fielder Yoenis Cespedes gunned down an Angels runner at the plate on a perfect throw that traveled more than 300 feet and sparked discussion on where it ranked among the greatest outfield assists of all time.

The throw was run on a seemingly endless loop on highlight shows in the ensuing 24 hours, but apparently Angels first baseman Albert Pujols wasn't paying attention Tuesday at the game and then neglected to watch any replays.

Because on Wednesday night, he tried to stretch a double into a triple on a ball he hit to Cespedes in left field.
