Warriors' Steph Curry Expected To Miss Several Weeks With Grade 1 MCL Sprain
(CBS) The Warriors received avoided the worst-case scenario with star Steph Curry's right knee injury.
An MRI on Curry's right knee came back negative, showing no structural damage, The Vertical reported. He'll miss two weeks with a Grade 1 MCL sprain and then be re-evaluated, the Warriors said, meaning he'll miss at least part of a potential second-round series and perhaps the entire round.
Curry suffered the injury in the closing seconds of the first half of a Game 4 win on Sunday at Houston when he slipped on a wet spot on the floor and his right knee bent awkwardly as he lost his balance. He'd previously missed Game 2 and Game 3 with an ankle sprain.
The Warriors lead the first-round series 3-1.
The presumptive MVP, Curry led the league in scoring at 30.1 points per game and helped the Warriors to a record 73-9 regular season.
