Warmer temps in Chicago Friday ahead of next storm system
CHICAGO (CBS) — Clouds will increase Friday afternoon ahead of rain storms on Saturday.
The system's forward speed has slowed slightly, meaning dry weather early Saturday morning through daybreak, with rain increasing mid-morning and peaking in the afternoon.
Rain totals are forecast to be between a half-inch and one inch. The storms are not expected to be severe, but there is a slight chance of a thunderstorm.
Rain tapers off Saturday night, leaving Sunday dry.
Steamy heat builds early next week to spark better storm chances on both Monday and Tuesday.
