Warmer days ahead in Chicago after week of cold, dangerous temps
CHICAGO (CBS) -- We start cold but a warm-up kicks off on Sunday.
A Winter Weather Advisory with freezing rain and ice accumulations was issued from 5 a.m. Monday to 9 a.m. Tuesday in parts of east central, northeast Illinois, and northwest Indiana including Cook, Kane, McHenry, Kendall, Lake, and DeKalb counties in Illinois, and from 9 a.m. Monday to 6 a.m. Tuesday for Kankakee County, Illinois, and Jasper, Lake, Porter, and Newton counties in Indiana.
Showers linger for the rest of the week but temperatures are expected to rise above freezing!
