Warm and windy day with gusts over 40 mph in Chicago
CHICAGO (CBS) — It's going to be a windy day in the Windy City.
Wind gusts over 40 mph will be possible again Wednesday in Chicago.
Temperatures are off to another very warm start in the upper 60s to near 70 degrees. By Wednesday afternoon, highs will max out in the lower 80s.
Clouds are moving in throughout the day, with rain and storms returning late Wednesday. After midnight, the rain will start to pick up in intensity. A marginal risk (level 1 out of 5) has been issued in northeastern Illinois to account for the potential of any stronger storms.
Periods of rain and storms will persist through the start of Halloween on Thursday. From midday onward, we will have a chance to dry out, with the winds easing up and clouds eventually clearing out.
Temperatures will be a little backwards as we will start mild in the morning in the 60s falling in the 50s by the evening for Trick-or-Treating.
