View: Wrigley Field's LF Video Board Screen Is Now Up

(CBS) There's no need to worry, Cubs fans. Just as the team has reiterated, the new left-field video board at Wrigley Field will be ready for Opening Night on Sunday when the rival Cardinals visit.

On Wednesday, the screen went up on the 3,900-square-foot video board above the left-field bleachers, so everything looks to be going well. While it's been known for some time that the left-field/center-field bleachers won't open until May, a big draw for fans and a primary goal for the team was to ensure the flashy, massive video board would be ready to go.

The right-field bleachers are expected to open in June, with the right-field video board on track to be done around mid-July, the Cubs have said.

Kaden Comadena says the kind of video shared from the palm of your hand belongs inside Wrigley.

"It's the past meeting the future I guess," he said.

Cubs spokesman Julian Green joined the Mully and Hanley Show earlier Wednesday to explain that everything that's expected to be ready for Sunday will be. You can listen to that interview here.

Thanks to the quality work that @WrigleyRenovate, @DP3PO and others have been doing on Twitter, we can see the progress of the video board and Wrigley Field. Check out some photos below.
